PRIMERS, LIQUID LAMINATES and INK for PRINTERS and PLOTTERS
Prim Jet Color produces various kinds of lacquers, under the common name Pre Coat, designed for the initial preparation of the media’s surface on which has to be made printout. Sublimation transfer on such media as glass, metal, ceramics, wood without activating their surface is impossible.

Lacquer, which allows sublimation of the rigid media (eg. ceramics, glass, metal, wood, hard plastic, etc.) and paper and cardboard is lacquer Pre Coat 4.
Lacquer Pre Coat 4 is a Polish product designed in 2006 by the founder of Prim Jet Color MPC Christian Airaut, in collaboration with MBA MSc. Jolanta Airaut and D. Sc. Ph. D. Leszek Kułak from Gdansk University of Technology. The lacquer is made exclusively from components from renowned European manufacturers.
Lacquer Pre Coat 4 was designed on the basis of an aqueous dispersion of polymeric resin. The mixture of lacquer and hardener, added in sufficient quantity, is liquid during curing conditions. Then take place chemical reactions leading to a cross-linked polymer solid - the cured lacquer (coating). In order to adjust properties of lacquer to specific customer needs, we can add to the lacquer, for example, the powder fillers, elasticators, thinners or curing accelerators.
Lacquer Pre Coat 4 is waterborne, and after the curing and cross-linking becomes waterproof. It creates a very thin, transparent, uniform and smooth polymer layer on the surface allowing the sublimation transfer.
The addition of the appropriate color pigments to Lacquer Pre Coat 4 gives the desired color of the coated surface. A typical example is the white Lacquer Pre Coat 4 used for sublimation transfer containing white elements (there is no white sublimation ink).
